With over 100 imported Christmas lights on display, The Wonderland of Lights and Market will outshine any other family holiday activity this festive season. The Christmas lights on display will make its way from America to South Africa and should not be missed!

As you enter the garden you will be greeted by festive Christmas melodies, Father Christmas, a Christmas market where you can get gift shopping out the way and food stalls to fill your stomach or quench your thirst. To keep your little ones entertained there will also be a Kiddies Program with Stokkel Faans.

This year, a constant flow of performers will be on stage, singing your favourite Christmas carols and songs as well as their favourite ones, adding their own zest to bring you a unique Christmas carols experience.

Greeting you as you join us for the display and market will be an 11 Foot Gingerbread man, an army of Nutcracker Soldiers, Santa's reindeer and a larger than life Christmas grinch.

Joburg Zoo in association with the City of Johannesburg entities; Joburg Theatre, City Parks and City Power are excited to announce the annual Joburg Zoo Festival of Lights featuring an enchanting collection of illuminated life-size animal characters featuring classical, harmonious entertainment, food and craft market for visitors to the Joburg Zoo.

Patrons can enjoy a tranquil walk in the zoo on a designated lit route away from the animals under trees decorated in enchanting lights.
